Heathyr~: But really...how can they not want to try to save Adam?
I get so worked up when I think about this LOL
1) He’s their HALF-BROTHER.
2) Look what The Pit did to Sam. Adam’s been down there a LOT longer than Sam was, so I can’t even imagine the things he’s been through all this time. It’s awful for me to think about.
3) He never,…

This isn’t some tan girl covered in makeup with perfectly straight hair and a perfect smile. This is a girl with Pfeiffer Syndrome, who has had bangs her whole life to hide her forehead and struggles everyday to be okay with looking this way. She’s had several surgeries and will have a couple more. she can’t wear makeup much, her eyes are sensitive. Her jaw is misaligned. Her forehead is too thick and has to be shaven down. Her cheekdowns have to be moved forward by surgery. when she was four she had something called a ‘halo’ which was a metal circle screwed into her skull and jaw.
though she fought through it medically, she struggles everyday with the emotional sideeffects. she doesn’t look like her family or her friends. she may never look normal. she has depression and eating issues because of what she has had to accept about herself. she has done awful things to be pretty.
nobody ever sees her without makeup or without bangs.
until now.
She, is me.
and if I make your blog ugly, than don’t reblog this. but if you can be one of the few people in my life who I know are fully comfortable with it, than reblog this so people know.
you are beautiful. even if you don’t realize it, you are. everyone is,
Reblogging this because I went to high school with her, and she always seems so positive and happy. it’s inspiring. She is beautiful.
And you’re still smiling. I think of all the “crap” I go through on a daily basis, and none of it even begins to compare. Thank you so much for posting this, I’m sure I’m not the only person you’ve helped gain some perspective :)
<3

Your outer appearance doesn’t determine your beauty, your soul does. <3

“Do not fear death, but rather the unlived life. You don’t have to live forever. You just have to live.”
Dedicated to my mother’s friend who died yesterday and her family. RIP Ann.

Someday, I’d love to have a phone conversation with someone for so long that my battery dies.
For me, that means a lot.
I had to write a vitae poem about myself in IB English. Thought I might share it with you guys.
The Listener, the Good Girl, the Small One
1. I was born on a cold, full-mooned night in the middle of January.
2. I was a winter baby but I lived for the days where I could just soak in the sunny rays.
3. I was given a name that could be shortened to fit my size if I wanted to. I disliked it.
4. Growing up, I was taught to treat everyone equally and to never react harshly to anyone I didn’t like.
5. In elementary school, I was brought into a tight knit class that knew everyone’s name by the end of the first week.
6. I was taught that words and reading were the most beautiful things ever. In both English and Spanish.
7. In middle school, I expanded my circle of friends to some who weren’t the exact definition of nice.
8. I was the quiet, normal one who always lived behind her best friend’s shadow.
9. I learned that not having a boyfriend isn’t the biggest tragedy in the world.
10. I joined high school struggling to find out who I was. In freshman year, I found a bit of it.
11. I became a friend who listened to everyone and gave kind, fair advice. The listener.
12. I learned to paddle in a boat shaped like a dragon.
13. The summer after ninth grade, I had the biggest scare of my life.
14. Sophomore year, I felt that shadow threaten to overcome me again and I tried to fight it.
15. I experienced one of the most difficult years of school, struggling to come through in all my classes.
16. That summer, I found my strong voice to go along in the dragon shaped boat that I spent most of my afternoons in.
17. This year, I am learning to become my own person.
18. I am someone who listens, the nice girl, the small one.
19. I have learned to love my name because it belonged to some of the strongest women in history.
20. I have learned to accept who I am, Elizabeth Fields.
